This evening, I just landed in White Sulfur Springs, Montana, east of Helena and north of Livingston. For the past five nights, I've been camped at Clearwater Crossing near the Blackfoot River about 40 east of Missoula. It's almost unnecessary to say, but simply more beautiful country. I was going to move eastward a few days ago, but found myself not feeling my best. I decided to stay put, rest, hang up the rod for a while (though you can see from the photos the Blackfoot produced some nice trout), and just write. I've had some good writing sessions and working on Love Your Guts Out, which at this point in the journey is my main goal alongside making my way to Crow country and beyond. Everything else is serendipitous and on the fly (pun intended).
